The mission of Pro-Study is to help as many people as possible get organised with their research. We want to support users thorough the whole process of research, from finding the relevant information, to storing and using it. We will always strive to listen to what our users want and need and adapt to meet their requirements, whilst maintaining the principle of keeping the software simple, yet highly effective.

History

After years of working alongside students as Assistive Technology Trainers, we were all too aware that collecting and organising research for assignments and exams can be a stressful and daunting challenge, particularly for students with additional needs. The same reoccurring issues were apparent: students would struggle to get started with an assignment, often had too many internet tabs open, would lose track of where their research had come from and would be saving their work across multiple Word documents. Pro-Study evolved from a realisation that there was no other, easy to use software available to students to eliminate all of these issues. Pro-Study continues to listen to what its users really want and new features will continue to be added. From listening to what people really wanted and needed we started work on a simple yet highly effective piece of software to help with research organisation and referencing
2016

Pro-Study was successfully launched
2017

Pro-Study Mac developed and released
2017

Windows Version 2 and 3 developed this year- huge updates with new features including image capture and an OCR tool. Auto update capabilities also added.
2019

Windows Version 4 - brand new user interface and additional features including a searchable database and cloud platforms access.
2020

Windows Version 4.5 launched - new features included webcam access for capturing information from text books and textbook barcode scanning. New Accessibility options added.
2020

Mac V2 launched - image snip, webcam and other features added to bring this platform inline with the Windows version.
2021

Windows Version 5 - huge update including a built in CSL giving users access to over 9500 reference styles. Syncing capabilities added so research can be stored on the cloud and accessed on other devices.
2021

Project Assist Mobile App successfully launched - a free companion app for all Pro-Study users allowing them to capture research in more places and then sync it with their computer.
2022

Pro-Study Online Launched - users can now use Pro-Study on any computer through their web browser. New features also added including direct links to captured content, research tiles, auto tiles.
